Hitman 5 Confirmed
This is slightly old news, but we’ve got a big Hitman community here, and it came up in another post, so I thought I’d make it official.
Hitman 5 is definitely in production at IO Interactive, the developer of the first four (increasingly brilliant) games.
The news came about via page 17 of an Eidos report, published last year. Hitman is one of Eidos’ biggest brands, so the continuation of the series felt like a given, but it’s nice to have the official tip all the same.
Three of the key founders of IO split off from the developer in recent weeks, so let’s hope that the creative and independent spirit of the company can live on, and that Hitman continues to grow, rather than succumbing to the stagnant annual release format adopted by many other popular series.
All the latest Hitman 5 content will appear on the Hitman 5 Gamepedia page.

Actually 47 is a Austrian, German, Chinese, Russian, Columbian clone created in Romania….no one is like 47. But ackri was talking about the game itself..which is made in Denmark.

One of the most awesome games fully deserves another sequel (as long as it exceeds the previous one, which I believe it will)… The programmers have made a tremendous amount of effort and they deserve congrats! Can’t wait to see mr 47 doing what he does best again…

OMFG!! i luvs hitman!!! my dad gave me the whole series thats out so far and ive played and beat them and scored silent assassin on all levels within 6 months. Blood Money was the longest and most difficult, especially when your suit retreivel counts in flatliner…. anyway, hitman is a geneticaly enhanced clone made by dr.ortymeyer (however u spell his name) and he was designed to kill. mix together m3nth01’s comment, anthony’s comment, and poonani’s comment, and you got hte whole story!! ive memorized his code # and have it tatoed onto my hip!! lol!!!

Hitman (A.K.A. 47) is a clone made in Romania from the genetic DNA of a Chinese, a Columbian, an Austrian, a Russian and a Romanian. The Romanian makes 47 kill all his other “fathers”, but then 47 kills the Romanian and now works for the International Contract Agency which has a controller named Diana Burnwood. You’d actually have to play the 4 games in a strange order to understand the whole plot:
First Hitman 1: Codename 47,
then Hitman 3: Contracts (but only Mission 1 “Asylum Aftermath”),
then Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
and then Hitman 4: Blood Money (After Mission 3 “Curtains Down play Hitman 3: Contracts from “Meat King’s Party” to the end and continue Hitman 4 from where you left off.)
