Electronic Arts has revealed the official release date for Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twighlight.

March 16th 2010 for the US and the 19th for Europe.

It will be one of the big titles in 2010 and will be PC only, bringing  a conclusion to the highly popular strategy series.

Need For Speed 100 Million

Electronic Arts has revealed that the Need for Speed series has now generated over 100 million unit sales.

The series began in 1994 and has seen 15 titles launched in over 60 countries.

The 100 million has been reached thanks to recent sales of Need for Speed: Shift.

Dragon Age: Origins

Bioware’s Dragon Age: Origins launches in November and is aiming to set a new standard in the RPG genre.

Reportedly boasting over 80 hours of gameplay, the game will also be getting a day 1 DLC pack entitled Warden’s Keep.

Ball In Play

As the football season get underway, so does the hype and intensity surrounding the next editions of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer.

Electronic Arts and Konami go head-to-head once again as FIFA 10 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 aim to capture the top spot when both are released in October.

FIFA 09 was the biggest selling UK title of 2008, beating its Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 rival.

The FIFA 10 Demo is heading out on 10th September, so fans can get an early taste of the game.

The competition in the manager’s dugout is also fierce at this time of year though, with Championship Manager 2010, FIFA Manager 10 and Football Manager 2010 jostling for position as the fans choice for the ultimate football management title.

Get The Need

EA’s next Need for Speed title, Need for Speed: Shift will be available to play at various GAME stores around the UK over the next few weeks.

If you’re fast enough, you’ll go through to the grand final at Thorpe Park, Surrey, on September 26th with winner getting a brand new Nissan 350Z GT sports car.

A similar competition was held at E3 2009 back in June, with the winner receiving a BMW M3.

First Sims 3 Expansion

Electronic Arts has revealed the first expansion pack for The Sims 3.

The Sims 3: World Adventures will see players take their Sims on adventures to famous destinations around the world.

It will be released during the week beginning November 16th.

Command and Conquer 4 Official

After previous news posts, Electronic Arts has officially announced Command and Conquer 4 is in development.

Set in 2062, the final chapter in series will take place after the events of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and bring to a conclusion the fate of Earth, Nod, Tiberium, GDI and Kane’s plan.

Command and Conquer 4 will launch on the PC in 2010.

Battlefield 1943 Begins

Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield 1943 will launch on the XBOX 360 on July 8th and on the following day for the PS3.

It will be released for the PC in September.

It marks the launch of the latest title in the Battlefield franchise from EA and development studio Dice.

Three And Two

Electronic Arts has revealed both Battlefield 3 and Mirror’s Edge 2.

Both titles are in development at Dice and are likely to be released mid to late 2010.

Battlefield 3 continues the recent Battlefield title influx, with Bad Company 2, Heroes and 1943 set for release this year.

Mirror’s Edge 2 will be the follow up to the 2008 original, but details on the sequel are yet to be fully revealed.

FIFA 10 Revealed

The first FIFA 10 details have been revealed.

The next edition in the EA Sports football franchise is due for an October release on all platforms and contains features based on over 275 million online FIFA games played.

Across the pitch from keeper to striker, the gameplay will be more realistic and sophisticated, as well as feature new technology and mechanics, all with the FIFA community feedback in mind.

Crysis 2

Crytek and Electronic Arts have announced Crysis 2.

The follow up to Crysis and Crysis Warhead will be built on Crytek’s multiplatform CryENGINE 3 Technology.

No other concrete details have been released, apart from the platforms of PC, XBOX 360 and PS3.

All future content will appear on the Crysis 2 Gamepedia page.

On The Brink Of E3

A host of E3 material has been released with the main event kicking off next week.

Bethesda and Splash Damage fans will be intrigued by BRINK – a new title heading out at the start of 2010.

Electronic Arts has put out more footage of Need for Speed: Shift and The Saboteur, plus unlockable content is on show in The Sims 3 and Battlefield 1943 videos.

The new shooter from Codemasters, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising gets an outing too, showcasing the intense in-game footage.

Visceral Games

Electronic Arts has renamed its long-running internal Redwood Shores studio to Visceral Games.

The studio is responsible for the recent third person shooter Dead Space and for the upcoming Dante’s Inferno.

Two unannounced projects are also in the pipeline.
