Modern Record

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

MCV has reported in its Friday 30th October issue that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to break the UK entertainment launch record held by Grand Theft Auto IV.

Having sold an estimated 500,000 pre-orders, a target of 1.7m for first week sales has been predicted, nearly double that of the previous record.

A lot of talk had surfaced about whether this record would be achieved, but it now looks likely.

Go With The New?

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

There have been a series of well known releases over the past month, with the likes of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, Street Fighter IV and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 making a splash in the sales charts.

Over the next month it will be interesting to see the sales and promotion for a brand new series, or IP, competing against the well known ones.

BattleForge and HAWX are two of the strongest heading our way in March, competing against Empire: Total War and the latest Codename: Panzers title, Codename: Panzers - Cold War.
