What was predicted came true. According to Activision,  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 generated a reported $550million during its first 5 days of being on sale. If there were records to break, it broke them. It smashed all previous box office entertainment-related records, making it the most successful entertainment launch of all time.

Activision and Treyarch have announced Map Pack 3 for Call of Duty: World at War. Map Pack 3 will be released in August and will feature three multiplayer maps, Battery, Revolution and Breach. Call of Duty: World at War has sold over 11 million copies to date. The announcement was made by Activision and developer Treyarch. The first person shooter was released in November 2008 and has recently been boosted by the addition of two Map Packs.

Activision and Treyarch have announced Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2. It will deploy in June for the XBOX 360 and PS3, supplying players with 3 new multiplayer maps and 1 new zombie map. Map Pack 1 had storming success when it was released in March 2009.
