Infinity Ward has revealed the date for the highly-anticipated first slice of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC. It will hit the XBOX 360 on the 30th March. The PC and PS3 will get the DLC a few weeks/a month later.

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has passed the $1Billion sales mark, worldwide. This puts it in a select group of entertainment releases that have hit the magic number. It has only been out since the 10th of November 2009, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now officially the third biggest selling UK game of all time. Nine weeks at number one in the UK charts has seen to that.

As was widely expected, the UK Christmas number one is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. FIFA 10 was second. Expect Infinity Ward’s shooter to be top in many other countries as well. If you were very confident, you could have won some dough too.

What was predicted came true. According to Activision,  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 generated a reported $550million during its first 5 days of being on sale. If there were records to break, it broke them. It smashed all previous box office entertainment-related records, making it the most successful entertainment launch of all time.
